A great lesson I’ve just learnt (yet again) is there is no point compromising what you want to do just  because the materials you have at hand don’t  quite fit. I walked the mountain and saw sunrise and it was fantastic so I decided to do a piece sunrise over Pen Y fan

I had this piece of seasoned wood it just looks the wrong shape.

So after trying to draw my outline design I just gave up. And it is amazing what you can do with a chainsaw and a pot of glue

Shazam , the shape I thought of in the first place so why didn’t I just do it to start with ??!!
